An Unforgettable Evening: The Oliver King Charity Event

On Saturday, 1st March 2025, the Oliver King Foundation held its spectacular Annual Dinner Event at the Hilton Hotel, an unforgettable evening dedicated to raising vital funds for life-saving defibrillators. Set in the beautifully decorated venue, guests arrived dressed to impress in sharp suits and glamorous dresses, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement, compassion, and community spirit. Throughout the evening, attendees had the chance to participate in silent auctions, generously supported by local businesses and individuals.

The incredible prizes on offer not only heightened the evening's thrill but significantly contributed to the fundraising efforts, helping the foundation move closer to its goal of ensuring a defibrillator in every community space. Emotions ran high as a brave survivor of cardiac arrest shared his inspiring and powerful story, reminding everyone present of the crucial importance of immediate access to defibrillators and how these devices can genuinely make the difference between life and death.

Entertainment for the night was unforgettable. Renowned spoken-word poet Joseph Roberts captivated the audience with a special poem crafted specifically for The Oliver King Foundation, before bringing the house down with his beloved Scouse slang poem, delighting everyone with laughter and pride.

Our wonderful host for the evening, the radiant Clare Sweeney, guided the night with warmth and elegance, seamlessly moving us through the program. The legendary Heather Small of M People electrified the room with her iconic hits, creating an uplifting and spirited vibe that resonated with everyone in attendance.

The celebration concluded with DJ Rob McPartland, who kept the dance floor buzzing and the energy alive well into the early hours of the morning. Events like this are vital—not only because they raise essential funds but because they build a united, compassionate community focused on saving lives. Every pound raised directly supports the Oliver King Foundation’s mission, helping ensure more defibrillators are available when and where they're needed most.

Thanks to everyone's incredible generosity and support, the total amount raised during this inspiring evening was an outstanding £7300.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, performed, and supported. Together, we continue to make a tangible difference.
